Slip-Stitch :: 21

Beautiful textured stitch that looks a lot like ribbing, but in fact is more like a basic garter stitch. It will make a nice hat, sweater or cardigan.

Yarn shown in this swatch:
Knitca Chunky 100% wool, color #0277 Opal

Needles:
10mm (US15)

Cast on a multiple of 3 stitches. Add 2 selvage stitches if you want to make a nice-looking edge.

Row 1 (right side): [k1, sl 1 wyib, k1], repeat brackets to end
Row 2 (wrong side): [k1, p1tbl, k1], repeat brackets to end

Repeat rows 1-2 as necessary for completing your project.

All abbreviations are explained in the Key to Chart.

You can also work according to the chart below. Pattern repeat is marked by red frame.

Note: the chart depicts stitches in right side rows from right to left (that is, your first stitch in right side row will be the first stitch on the right of the chart), and stitches in wrong side rows from left to right (that is, your first stitch in wrong side row will be the first stitch on the left of the chart). To make this concept easier, the number of each row is shown at the beginning of the row (number 1 is on the right side of the chart and number 2 is on the left side).
