This cute little stitch will make any hat, scarf, socks or baby outfit a fun one of a kind project. Another great thing about this stitch is that it is super easy to knit.
MATERIALS USED TO MAKE THE SWATCH
Yarn – Knitca Cotton 100% cotton yarn in Forest Green, White and Lime Green colours
Needles – 4 mm (US6)
INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on a multiple of 4 stitches. Add 2 selvage stitches.
Row 1 (right side) Color A: selvage, [k3, sl 1 wyib], repeat brackets to last stitch, selvage
Row 2 (wrong side) Color A: selvage, [sl 1 wyif, k3], repeat brackets to last stitch, selvage
Row 3 (right side) Color B: selvage, [k1, sl 1 wyib, k2], repeat brackets to last stitch, selvage
Row 4 (wrong side) Color B: selvage, [k2, sl 1 wyif, k1], repeat brackets to last stitch, selvage
Row 5 (right side) Color C: work as row 1
Row 6 (wrong side) Color C: work as row 2
Row 7 (right side) Color A: work as row 3
Row 8 (wrong side) Color A: work as row 4
Row 9 (right side) Color B: work as row 1
Row 10 (wrong side) Color B: work as row 2
Row 11 (right side) Color C: work as row 3
Row 12 (wrong side) Color C: work as row 4
Repeat rows 1-12 as necessary for completing your project.

To make this concept easier, the number of each row is shown at the beginning of the row (number 1 is on the right side of the chart and number 2 is on the left side).
