Lace :: 2

Airy stripes – this lacy pattern will make a nice summer top or a light sweater / jacket for late spring and early fall. It will also look great on a sweater for a little girl. The best thing is – it’s very easy to knit. You’ll finish your project in no time.

Yarn shown in this swatch: Knitca Delight 100% superwash merino wool, color 7451 Denim Blue.
Needles: US size 6 (4 mm).

Cast on multiple of 6 + 3 stitches. Add 2 more selvage stitches if you want to make a nice-looking edge.

Row 1 (right side): *knit 3 stitches, 1 yarn over, knit 3 stitches together, 1 yarn over*, repeat from * to * as necessary, knit last 3 stitches.
Row 2 (wrong side): purl all stitches.

Repeat rows 1-2 till necessary for completing your project.

You can also work according to the chart below. Pattern repeat is shown between lines A and A.

Note: the chart depicts stitches in right side rows from right to left (that is, your first stitch in right side row will be the first stitch on the right of the chart) and stitches in wrong side row from left to right (that is, your first stitch in wrong side row will be the first stitch on the left of the chart). To make this concept easier for you the number of each row is shown at the beginning of row (number 1 is on the right side of the chart and number 2 is on the left side). Ignore this note if you knit in circle and start all your rows from the right of the chart.
