An interesting eye-catching lacy pattern, not too transparent but not too heavy – perfect for a spring-summer jacket, shrug or top, it will also look great in a scarf. This pattern is not difficult to knit but follow the instructions closely.
Yarn shown in this swatch: Knitca Delight 100% superwash merino wool, color 0206 Cardinal.
Needles: US size 6 (4 mm).
Cast on a multiple of 4 stitches.
Row 1 (right side): purl all stitches.
Row 2 (wrong side): *purl 3 stitches together, make 3 stitches out of 1 stitch (make 1 knit, 1 purl and 1 knit stitches)*, repeat from * to * as necessary.
Row 3 (right side): purl all stitches.
Row 4 (wrong side): * make 3 stitches out of 1 stitch (make 1 knit, 1 purl and 1 knit stitches), purl 3 stitches together*, repeat from * to * as necessary.
Repeat rows 1-4 till necessary for completing your project.
Don’t forget to knit first and last stitch as selvage stitches if you want to make a nice-looking edge.

Note: the chart depicts stitches in right side rows from right to left (that is, your first stitch in right side row will be the first stitch on the right of the chart) and stitches in wrong side row from left to right (that is, your first stitch in wrong side row will be the first stitch on the left of the chart). To make this concept easier for you the number of each row is shown at the beginning of row (number 1 is on the right side of the chart and number 2 is on the left side). Ignore this note if you knit in circle and start all your rows from the right of the chart.
