MATERIALS USED TO MAKE THE SWATCH

Yarn – Knitca Merino 100% merino yarn in Amethyst colour

Needles – 4.5 mm (US7)

INSTRUCTIONS

Cast on a multiple of 24 stitches. Add 2 selvage stitches if you want to make a nice-looking edge.

Row 1 (right side): [p2, k5, p4, k2, p4, k5, p2], repeat brackets to end
Row 2 and every wrong side row: k the knit sts and p the purl sts
Row 3 (right side): [p2, k5, p4, k2, p4, k5, p2], repeat brackets to end
Row 5 (right side): [p2, k20, p2], repeat brackets to end
Row 7 (right side): [p2, k20, p2], repeat brackets to end
Row 9 (right side): [p2, 10 sts right cable, 10 sts left cable, p2], repeat brackets to end
Row 11 (right side): [p2, k5, p4, k2, p4, k5, p2], repeat brackets to end
Row 13 (right side): [p2, k5, p4, k2, p4, k5, p2], repeat brackets to end

Repeat rows 1-14 as necessary for completing your project.

Cable Knitting Stitch Pattern

Note: the chart depicts stitches in right side rows from right to left (that is, your first stitch in right side row will be the first stitch on the right of the chart), and stitches in wrong side rows from left to right (that is, your first stitch in wrong side row will be the first stitch on the left of the chart). To make this concept easier, the number of each row is shown at the beginning of the row (number 1 is on the right side of the chart and number 2 is on the left side).
